Carte Blance – 2020 – Part 1

Carte Blance, conducted by Computer Society of MIT on the 4th and 5th of January,2019 was the talking point of this semester. Companies such as Halnode Technologies Private Limited, Top professionals from DTCC, Google Developers, Zoho and several others conducted workshops and activities for students.

 

 

 

A Placement training workshop was conducted by Halnode Technologies Private Limited. The event was all about making students (the professionals) to get into companies easily. Blockchain, is a growing list of records called blocks that are linked using cryptography. Each block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block. Top professionals from DTCC lectured about Block Chain in this workshop.

 

Professionals from Google conducted an introductory workshop on Machine Learning and its applications. How are machines programmed? How does it respond to inputs? These questions were explained in the workshop. Those who wanted to code things easy as a breeze and to develop stunning web pages, were in the right place and learnt a lot from the Python Workshop. A workshop on Ethical Hacking presented by Zoho Corp, gave technocrats a basic knowledge of hacking and how to protect our system against hazardous effects. The drone workshop implied that Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones) are easy to use, inexpensive, and are revolutionizing spatial data collection and geographic analysis, with new technologies shaping the future of mapping, flight path planning, field operations, image analysis, 3-D model construction, and more.

 

 

 

 

 

A Hands-on workshop was conducted by HT Labs with the aim of providing a cheap and practical exposure to Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the new entrants in the digital world which have marked their benchmarks among the IT professionals and organizations. The workshop Conducted by IIT-M and MIT Professors, Industry 4.0 was game-changing for manufacturing and warehousing. It helped manufacturers with current challenges by becoming more flexible and making reacting to changes in the market easier. It can increase the speed of innovation and is very consumer centered, leading to faster design processes.
 

A Workshop on Hybrid and Electrical Vehicles conducted by Faculty of MIT and a workshop on Autotronics was conducted by SAE Labs (Autotronics is the blend of Automobile + Electronics). Apart from these technical events, non- technical events like PUBG, FIFA and many more interesting events took place in which students have actively taken part.
 

 

 

 

 

The event went successful because of all the members, volunteers, staff, HODs of various departments and our Dean.
