Captain Marvel – Review

“Lit”, “Marvel-lous”, “Old wine”, “Glamorous, funny and an epitome of Illogicity”.

These were some of my friends’ reviews when we walked out of the theatre after watching Marvel’s new movie- Captain Marvel. This latest new blockbuster is one of the main reasons why Marvel has been the boss in the “Superhero industry”. (Sorry about that, DC fans.). Although I was a bit skeptical before the movie, I thoroughly got my money’s worth at the end.

The movie keeps you at the edge of your seat throughout its entirety. It’s filled with action packed scenes, humorous dialogues(which remind us a tad bit of Tony Stark)  and of course, the scintillating not-so-platonic chemistry between Brie Larson and Samuel L Jackson. Brie Larson brought to life a power-packed, kickass, relatable superhero who stereotypically, broke all the stereotypes.

The only thing which Marvel flawed in this amazing storyline is that Carol Denver’s origin story was a tad brief. The war story between the Kree and the Skrulls was also not touched to an extent where people could relate it to other backstories like that of Thanos.

All in all, the movie was packed to its fullest and also pays tribute to the late Stan Lee in a way that truly acknowledges Excelsior’s contribution to Marvel. The post credits scene, definitely has something for all of you! I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and give it 8.5/10.

Don’t miss out on watching this great movie!
