Automeet, one of the oldest Autombile Engineering symposium of the country, was conducted by Automobile Engineers Association and the Department of Automobile Engineering students on February 8 & 9th, 2019. DAY 1:
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Anand Gurupatham, Deputy General Manager, Renault Nissan presided by Prof.T.Thyagarajan, Dean, MIT and other faculty members. Various Non Technical events like Auto quiz, Sketching, Poster Presentation, Treasure hunt, Royal mechanic, Unveil the image, How things work were conducted. The other Technical events were B-plan, CAD masters, Design validation and Paper presentation which had 150+ partcipants. The workshops included Workshop on IC engines, Automotive Control System and Vehicle dynamics and modelling and witnessed many participants from all over the state. The highlight  of Day 1 was the Auto expo which included cars like Land Cruiser, Mercedes Benz GL series, Mahindra Thar, BMW 5 series GT and many super bikes from top brands like Benelli, Suzuki, BMW, Harley Davidson and so on.


DAY 2:
The workshop for the second included Decoding BS-VI, IOT in Automation, Electric and Hybrid Powertrain. The technical events for this day were Paper presentation, Industry 4.0 and RC car racing , ATV racing. The evening of 2 nd day witnessed the Bike stunt show which saw huge audience and applause. Other than these Online Quiz, Photography contest were also conducted. 500+ students attended the workshop and other events that were conducted.



The ALUMNI MEET was later conducted on Feb. 10th, which had almost 50 seniors from 16 th batch to 65 th batch taking part in it. With alumni sharing their personal experiences in their career and in MIT. It turned to be a memorable day. They were treated with sumptous lunch and were presented with a momento as a token of gratitude.
