Automeet 2017 – Report

Automeet ,one of the oldest engineering symposiums of India, was conducted by the students of department of Automobile Engineering on March 17 and 18.


Day 1:

The grand event was inaugurated by Mr.Dharmalingam,director head of NPC , accompanied by staff incharge Sunil and our chairman Vigneshwaran . Various non-technical events such as Treasure hunt , AutoQuiz, Paper Presentation , Mech Savy , CAD Masters , Gaming and Royal Rembrandt were conducted .


The workshops included IC engine Dismantling and Assembling, Aerodynamics and RC Car , witnessing over 700 participants from colleges all over the country. A bike stunt show were performed by the Team Roosters which happened to be a best gesture to mark the end of the first day.


Day 2:

The day kickstarted with the Auto expo which featured Rolls Royce Ghost,Volvo S60,BMW GT,Land Cruiser,Jeep,Kawasaki Ninja and Yamaha RX series.



Workshops such as Two Wheeler Troubleshooting and Dismantling and Hybrid Vehicles were also conducted . Both the Expo and the workshop had a great opening with a large number of students turning up making it a grand show .


The Alumni meet was held later in the day which had almost had 100 seniors ranging from the 25th batch to 63rd batch. With the alumni sharing their personal and professional experiences with the students, it turned out to be a memorable evening. They were treated with a well flavoured dinner and were gifted a memento as a token of gratitude.The Alumni meet winded up with the slogan of the Royalz, “Zindabad”.
