Samhita 2017

Samhita, the inter-collegiate technical fest of the Department of Information Technology kicked off on 10th February. The run up event had generated quite a buzz on campus as a Pokemon based Treasure hunt was organized with eager participants searching for the hidden Pokeballs as early as 6 am.

The Inauguration Ceremony was presided over by the CEO of InkMonk, Isaac John Wesley. Following this the events and workshops were flagged off. There was a good mix of technical and non-technical events notably OSPC, Coffee With Java, B-Plan and Treasure Hunt. Several Mini-Games and workshops were also conducted.

Day 2 saw the finalists of important coding events battle for glory, as several of them had internship offers from notable companies like Zoho, Guvi and Amazon. Street Coding captured the attention of onlookers as participants were made to code amidst a lot of distractions including pop songs blasting from the speakers. Workshops on IoT, Photoshop and Ethical hacking were organized.

The Mega Event boasted of a Grand Prize of One Plus 3T and the winner Jedidiah Paulraj from KCG College of Technology walked away with a cool new phone.
